Schwung Globe Cluster 10 Light Chandelier - Marble Glass
A Cluster of Ten Globes Built to Anchor a Room Ten marble glass globes are gathered onto a single circular brass canopy, forming one dense cluster rather than ten separate pendants spread across a ceiling. At this scale, the Globe Cluster 10 is designed to be the one statement fitting a large room is built around. In Marble Glass Marble glass carries a softly veined, milky pattern through the glass itself, so light passing through each globe picks up subtle internal shifts in tone rather than a flat, even wash. Across ten globes clustered together, those veined patterns layer and shift as you move around the room, giving the piece more visual depth than a plain diffused glass. It is the most material-rich of the three Schwung glass options, suited to a room where the fitting is meant to be looked at as well as lit from. Choose Your Finish The brass frame is available in lacquered burnished brass, black gunmetal, or polished nickel, each changing how warm or cool the finished piece reads against the marbled glass. How It Works Ten E14 LED bulbs are included, 5W each, 50W in total, and the fitting works with a compatible ELV or trailing edge dimmer switch (not included) if dimming is wanted. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. The cluster measures approximately 600mm in diameter and hangs to an overall height of around 1554mm, with each of the ten marble glass globes measuring roughly 200mm across. The complete fitting weighs approximately 20.2kg. Where It Works Best Its scale calls for a room built around height and space: over a large dining table, above a staircase, in a double height hallway or entrance, or as the anchor piece in a hotel lobby or restaurant dining room. Because of its size and drop, it needs a taller ceiling than a standard room allows, and reads best when there is room to step back and see it from a distance rather than pass directly underneath. Made by Schwung Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting, including the Globe Cluster 10, is made to order at the Namyslow workshop in solid brass with mouth-blown glass. According to Schwung, the marble glass finish is designed so no two globes are ever quite identical, since the veined pattern forms naturally in the mouth-blown process. Good to Know Made to order in Poland, estimated lead time of around 4 to 6 weeks Not returnable, as with all Schwung fittings, since each one is made to order Overall diameter approximately 600mm (23.6in), height approximately 1554mm (61in), each globe approximately 200mm (7.9in) in diameter Weight approximately 20.2kg (44.5lb) 10 x E14 LED bulbs included, 5W each, 50W in total Dimmable with a compatible ELV or trailing edge dimmer switch (dimmer not included) IP20 rated, for dry indoor use only Brass care: clean regularly with a soft cloth or duster, a damp cloth can also be used, dry the frame fully before switching back on, do not use cleaning agents on brass parts Glass care: clean the outside with a soft dry cloth, use a damp cloth first on dirtier glass, a gentle glass cleaner will lift grease Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician Questions People Ask Does the marble pattern vary between globes? Yes. Because each globe is mouth blown, the veined marble pattern forms naturally and varies slightly from globe to globe, so no two Globe Cluster 10 fittings look quite identical. Can the Globe Cluster 10 in Marble Glass be dimmed? Yes, it works with a compatible ELV or trailing edge dimmer switch. A dimmer switch is not included and should be checked for LED compatibility before installation.
