Roller shutter cupboard, oak, 1950s
Vintage at its best. An iconic (file) cabinet from a 1950s doctor’s surgery with a beautiful aged patina. The shelves can be arranged flexibly thanks to the continuous perforated rails. The body, made of blockboard, is veneered with oak; the roller shutters and their guides are made of solid oak; and the shelves are made of pine. The entire cabinet has been carefully sanded and finished with a satin-matt varnish. The fittings, handles and keys are the originals. In the lower third, a little more force is required to move the roller shutter, as some of the slats have warped slightly.
