Traditional Japanese Okimono Kago (Storage Basket)

These traditional artisan baskets are crafted from bamboo and reed, creating a highly decorative effect due to the natural color contrasts, dating back to the 1950s they are still in amazing condition which is testament to the craftmanship. Traces of Japanese calligraphy are still visible on the smaller of the baskets. In Japan, Okimono kago baskets are also cherished purely for their natural beauty and versatility. The baskets are a perfect size to be used around the home, but would look great in a bathroom to store towels. Baskets sold separately.
