Bloodborne Pathogens in Healthcare Environments
Bloodborne pathogens are microorganisms that can be found in human blood, blood components, and blood products. When you're exposed to them, they can cause serious, even life-threatening diseases. To mitigate these dangers, OSHA has developed a standard for dealing with bloodborne pathogens in the workplace.
