JL Industries Grenadier-P 2-1/2 gal. Water Fire Extinguisher (FP02C)

The JL Industries FP02C is the Grenadier-P, a 2-1/2 gal. portable fire extinguisher in JL's Grenadier series, charged with ordinary water expelled by compressed air and UL rated 2A for Class A fires. It is specified for Class A hazards in warehouses, storage and general commercial areas where recharging with water and air is wanted. Because the agent is ordinary water pressurized with regular air, recharging the extinguisher is simple and economical. Valve material: All-metal Operating temperature: 40°F (4°C) to 120°F (49°C) Standards: Conforms to CAN/ULC-S507 - ANSI/UL 626 and CAN/ULC-S508 - ANSI/UL 711. Meets the current NFPA 10 requirements for portable fire extinguishers and is tested and listed by UL. US Coast Guard: Approved. The owner's manual notes that USCG approval is valid only when the extinguisher is fitted with the approved marine-type bracket named on its nameplate. In the box: the extinguisher with a J-hook wall bracket as standard; the Mark MB810C mounting bracket is available separately at extra charge. Charging: Ships empty (uncharged and unpressurized). It must be filled with the extinguishing agent and pressurized in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions before being placed in service. Application limits: Water extinguishers must never be used on fires involving live electrical equipment or on cooking media; water can flash to steam at cooking temperatures and cause serious burns.
