Scanstrut DS16 Vertical Cable Seal | Waterproof Marine Cable Gland The Scanstrut DS16 Vertical Cable Seal is a compact IP68 waterproof marine cable gland designed to provide a secure, watertight cable entry for 2–8 mm (0.08–0.31") cables and and connectors up to Ø16mm (0.63"). Perfect for solar panels, navigation lights, antennas, and other rooftop electronics, this durable vertical cable seal features a low-profile, impact-resistant dome design for long-lasting protection in harsh marine and outdoor environments. With captive nuts for quick, reliable installation, the DS16 delivers a clean, professional finish for boats, RVs, camper vans, and off-grid applications. Compatible with many 12-8 AWG wire gauge, depending on their overall jacket diameter. Multi-Functional Dome Shape The aesthetic dome-shaped profile provides a stronger, impact-resistant, and additional water shield. Watertight Installation The tapered bung is supplied with a closed base seal, to form a watertight seal, ensuring an IP68-rated watertight seal. Each unit is supplied with both pre-drilled and blank inner seals to make your installation as easy as possible.
