Linen Leaf is a two-skein shawl worked from the center of top (wingspan) down, which makes it easily adjustable. Extra stitches at each row end gives this shawl a lovely and comfy boomerang shape. The base stitch pattern, linen (moss) stitch, is modified in an unusual way to create wonderfully textured ridges with a touch of colorwork to blend both colors together. This pattern will open a new chapter of crochet textures for you, introducing fresh stitches and techniques, while practicing them in a delicate and graceful shawl sample. New stitches will be taught as needed. The only stitches you need are chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet and double crochet! Open to all ages, but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian with basic knowledge of the class material.
