A place close to the heart of our Head Roaster, Dan, who in 2022 visited the producers and processing mill as part of a trip hosted by our importers, Omwani. Dan spent a few days hiking the Rwenzori Mountains, talking with coffee farmers and understanding how coffee is grown, picked and transported down the steep slope to the mill for processing. The new mill there was built recently by Agri Evolve, a profit for purpose organisation working with farmers here and across the Rwenzori region. Building infrastructure, helping improve the quality of the coffee and raising income, Agri-Evolve seek to improve the overall quality of life of the farmers, their families and their communities.
