Merbau is a premium hardwood that grows throughout Southeast Asia, with the majority of Merbau decking available in the Australian market sourced from Indonesia. Our Merbau decking products are sourced exclusively from legally harvested timber and are supplied throughout Sydney. All of our Merbau decking is kiln-dried to enhance stability and performance. As Merbau is naturally high in tannins, some tannin leaching may occur when the timber is first exposed to moisture. This is a normal characteristic of the species and will gradually reduce over time with natural weathering.
