Unlabelled Chinese ¾-sized violin

This attractive, ¾-sized violin is an excellent example of the high-quality workmanship that has been emanating from mainland Chinese violin workshops for the last two decades or so. The purfling and edge work combine skill with enough character to give the violin more personality than a machine-produced instrument. Well-chosen wood is enhanced by a lightly-antiqued, oil-based varnish. The tone is lively and clear, with depth and resonance extending evenly across all registers.
