Block Printing Cushion Workshop at Highgrove, Gloucestershire, 17th September

This day-long course will include a one-hour guided walk around the royal gardens with an expert garden guide. During this walk, you will have the opportunity to admire the flora and fauna in the gardens. This is a wonderful chance to immerse yourself in your surroundings, enjoying the sights, smells, and colours of the gardens while incorporating these elements into your printing. Using Molly’s carved wooden blocks and palette of eco-friendly paints, you will experiment with colour and pattern. You will design and print your own 40cm x 30cm frilly cushion cover (feather pad included). After an immersive morning of creativity, tuck into a delightful two-course lunch - please advise the venue when booking of any dietary requirements. After lunch you will embellish your cushions with Molly’s fabulous array of cotton threads. Adding some simple French knots or back stitch, perhaps a little monogramming, over the top of your designs can add depth, texture and an even more personalised touch. You will be working with fabric paint – aprons are provided for use on the day, but we advise not to wear your finery! This workshop is suitable for all levels with no experience necessary.
