Because Pennsylvania's Sunday blue laws barred football inside the city proper, Frankford built its following playing home dates on Saturdays at Yellow Jacket Field. The team won the 1926 championship at 14–1–1, one of the most dominant seasons of the era, before the physical toll and Depression-era financial strain forced the franchise to fold partway through 1931.
