Touchscreen CTS3 Touchscreen Integration With a quick update and patch applied to your Edge CTS3, Medusa populates as a dedicated Power Level gauge on your layout screen for seamless in-dash control. Advanced Access Bypass Mode (Original Switch) Need access to Level 00, No Start, or levels above 6? Switching to your original Hydra physical switch lets you bypass CTS3 display limits and access every tune on your chip. Simple 5-Step Installation 1 Connect Ribbon Cables Unplug your existing Hydra ribbon cable and connect it to either port on the Medusa. Optionally, plug your original switch into the second port. 2 Pair Bluetooth App Download and open the Medusa app on your mobile device to establish wireless control. 3 Attach Edge CTS3 Cable (Optional) If utilizing touchscreen controls, plug Medusa's EAS cable into your Edge CTS3 6-pin port (supports daisy-chaining with other accessories). 4 Power On & Configure PIDs Turn key to "ON". Add the newly recognized "Power Level" PID gauge to your CTS3 screen layout. 5 Enjoy On-The-Fly Switching Seamlessly switch tune positions via phone, touchscreen, or manual physical switch. Technical Notes & Compatibility CTS3 Firmware Requirements Before installing Medusa with an Edge CTS3, update your CTS3 using Edge's official Update Agent/Ignition software. After updating, apply the Power Hungry Performance CTS3 firmware patch to enable screen controls. (Patch not required if using Bluetooth app only). Level Limits via CTS3 Touchscreen The Edge CTS3 display interface natively supports 6 power levels (1–6). If you have more than 6 tunes programmed, or require Level 00/No Start, you must use Bypass Mode via the original Hydra switch or use the app. Functionality Clarification Medusa is a position controller interface. It does not re-flash, alter, or replace tune files stored on your Hydra Chip, nor does it turn the Edge CTS3 into a tuner programmer.
