Antique French Louis XV style armoire

Beautiful large knockdown French armoire in the Louis XV style, with a carved cornice, a shell motif and scrolling acanthus across the frieze, arched panel doors. Original steel hinges, lock plates and key. Hand painted in a bespoke sage green chalk paint with two adjustable shelves giving plenty of storage space. Could have a hanging rail installed. The feet have been shortened at some point in its life. Armoires this size were built for grand, high ceilinged rooms, so we like to think of it as a sensible bit of adaptation, making a statement piece genuinely liveable in a modern home without losing any of its presence. Comes with a set of assembly instructions. Condition: Grade 4, Honest Character, priced accordingly. Heavily worn, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Aged hardware, shortened feet.
