Description The MICH Level IIIA Multicam Ballistic Helmet combines extended mid-cut coverage, a modular tactical platform and a Multicam exterior finish. It is available with either a lightweight UHMWPE shell or a durable aramid-fiber shell, allowing users to select the preferred balance of weight, durability and environmental performance. The MICH profile provides increased coverage around the front, sides, ears and rear of the head. Integrated accessory rails, a front NVG shroud and hook-and-loop panels support compatible tactical equipment. An adjustable padded suspension and four-point retention system help provide a stable, comfortable fit during extended wear. Designed for law enforcement, military, security and other authorized professional protective applications. Specifications Product Name: MICH Level IIIA Multicam Ballistic Helmet Helmet Style: MICH / Mid Cut Protection Level: Level IIIA Referenced Test Standard: NIJ Standard 0106.01 Shell Material Options: UHMWPE / Aramid Fiber Exterior Finish: Multicam Head Circumference: 21.6–24.8 in (55–63 cm) Available Sizes: L / XL Protection Area: Approximately 1,300 cm² Weight: Varies by size, material and installed accessories Suspension: Adjustable padded suspension system Retention System: Adjustable four-point chinstrap Buckle: Quick-release buckle Accessory Platform: Side rails, front NVG shroud and hook-and-loop panels Material Options UHMWPE Shell The UHMWPE version uses high-strength ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene to reduce overall helmet weight while maintaining dependable ballistic performance. It is suitable for users who prioritize mobility and reduced fatigue during extended wear. Aramid Shell The aramid version provides durable ballistic construction, good heat resistance and long-term structural stability. It is suitable for demanding professional environments where durability and environmental resistance are important. Ballistic performance applies only to the tested construction and should not be assumed to transfer between different materials, sizes or shell configurations. Technical Features Level IIIA ballistic construction Available with UHMWPE or aramid shell Multicam exterior for woodland, field and mixed-terrain environments Extended MICH mid-cut head coverage Coverage around the front, sides, ears and rear Integrated side accessory rails Front shroud for compatible NVG mounting equipment Hook-and-loop panels for compatible patches and accessories Adjustable padded suspension system Four-point retention system for improved stability Quick-release buckle for convenient removal Adjustable straps help center the helmet on the wearer Interior padding helps distribute pressure Internal spacing promotes airflow around the head Reinforced and sealed helmet edge Textured exterior surface for improved durability Water- and oil-resistant exterior finish Non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant components Compatible with selected communication headsets, hearing protection and eyewear Easy-care exterior surface Accessory compatibility depends on the dimensions, mounting interface and manufacturer specifications of the selected equipment. Helmet Protection Against When tested under the specified laboratory conditions, the helmet is designed to resist the following handgun threats: 9 mm, 115 gr at 1,400 ft/s (428 m/s) .357 SIG FMJ FN at 1,430 ft/s (435.8 m/s) Actual ballistic performance depends on projectile type, velocity, impact angle, strike location, helmet condition, environmental exposure and other test variables. Fragmentation Performance Fragmentation performance is evaluated separately from handgun ballistic testing. Fragment Simulating Projectile: 17 gr (1.1 g), .22-caliber FSP Reported V50: 2,192 ft/s (668.1 m/s) Highest Partial Penetration: 2,212 ft/s (674.2 m/s) Lowest Complete Penetration: 2,172 ft/s (662.0 m/s) Multicam Tactical Finish The Multicam exterior combines green, brown and desert tones to provide visual integration across woodland, field and mixed-terrain environments. The pattern placement may vary slightly between helmets because of the application process. These minor variations do not affect the helmet’s intended protective performance. Modular Accessory Platform The helmet includes a modular platform for compatible professional equipment: Side rails for selected lights and accessory adapters Front NVG shroud for compatible night-vision mounting hardware Hook-and-loop panels for patches, markers and cable management Compatibility with selected communication headset adapters Space for compatible hearing protection and eyewear Lights, cameras, headset adapters, night-vision equipment and other accessories are not included unless specifically stated in the package description. Fit and Comfort The adjustable suspension system distributes helmet weight across multiple contact points. Interior padding helps reduce pressure points and maintain a secure fit during extended wear. Suggested head circumference range: L: 21.6–23.2 in (55–59 cm) XL: 23.2–24.8 in (59–63 cm) Measure around the widest part of the head, approximately one inch above the eyebrows and ears. Select the appropriate size before adjusting the suspension and chinstrap. Package Includes MICH Level IIIA Multicam Ballistic Helmet Selected UHMWPE or aramid shell Adjustable padded suspension system Four-point retention system Quick-release buckle Side accessory rails Front NVG shroud Hook-and-loop panels Product documentation Tactical accessories shown in lifestyle or demonstration images are not included unless listed separately. Care and Inspection Clean the shell using a soft, damp cloth. Do not use bleach, solvents or abrasive cleaning products. Do not immerse the helmet in water. Keep the helmet away from prolonged heat and direct sunlight. Store it in a cool, dry and ventilated environment. Inspect the shell, edge seal, rails, shroud, straps, buckle and padding before use. Stop using the helmet if cracks, delamination, deformation or other structural damage is visible. Replace the helmet after a ballistic impact, even when external damage appears limited. Do not drill, cut, paint or otherwise modify the ballistic shell. Follow the recommended inspection and service-life guidance supplied with the product. Threat Rating and Standard This helmet is tested in accordance with NIJ Standard 0106.01 against the specified Level IIIA handgun threats, with fragmentation performance evaluated separately. Level IIIA is a handgun-rated protection level. This helmet is not designed or rated to defeat rifle ammunition, including: 5.56×45 mm 7.62×39 mm 7.62×51 mm Ballistic performance is threat-specific and applies only to the tested helmet model, material, construction, size and laboratory conditions. No protective helmet can eliminate every risk of penetration, impact, deformation or injury.
