A collection bringing together two important works in English translation by the Danish existentialist philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. The first title, For Self-Examination, is often said to be amongst the most accessible of Kierkegaard’s philosophical writings. The present English translation had been originally published in the UK three years earlier in 1941. ‘As a thinker Kierkegaard is generally considered to be, however eccentric, one of the most important Christian philosophers’ (PMM).
