This product is a 12 oz. whole bean coffee, medium roasted and decaffeinated using the Sugar Cane Decaf Process, which enhances sweetness and preserves coffee complexity.
- The process involves fermenting and distilling sugar cane to obtain ethyl acetate (EA) which is then used to decaffeinate coffee.
- After decaffeination, steam removes the EA, leaving less than 5ppm in the batch.
- A batch of sugarcane decaffeinated coffee contains 20 times less EA than a ripe banana.
