Martín Pescador

This is a distinctive robust bird found in rivers, lakes, estuaries, and streams across the Neotropics. It has a blue patch on the chest, a gray-blue plumage, a white collar, rufous belly, spotted wings, a prominent crest, and a heavy beak. It catches its prey by diving from high perches into water at high speed.
