Recycled Tote Bag made from Suits with Sonia – Saturday 30 May & 6 June 2026
Dates: Saturdays 30th May & 6th June 2026 Time: 10am to 4pm (9.30am setup) Make a one of kind tote bag made from suits. Go through your family’s wardrobes and find vintage suits or buy them from an opportunity shop. It’s a great way to have those memories used in a useful bag. Don’t feel bad about cutting these up, they often have holes or are unfashionable and you are giving them a new lease of life. It is the ultimate in upcycling. The bag has been designed to be functional as well as stylish. It is fully lined and features several pockets on each side to store your bits and pieces. The bag needs to be sturdy, so it uses firm foam interfacing for bag making. You can use any cotton for the lining. There are lots of variations you can do – make your own straps or use an old tie! This is a class spread over two Saturdays and will be for the more experienced, confident sewer as there are lots of layers to sew through. A link to the materials list will be sent in your acknowledgement email.
