How To Use Lift the top tray frame off and fill the plexiglass chamber with cold water — keep the level just above the diffuser, no higher. Lower the top frame back on. Snap the magnetic hose into the connector port on the side of the body. Set your draw — rotate the 4-position diffuser to find your preferred resistance. Place your chosen bowl onto the silicone cone seat — the seal grips any standard bowl type. Top with foil and coconut charcoal, or fit a heat management device on the tray. Insert batteries into the LED housing and press the remote to power on — the chamber backlights the gold engraving and mandala panels from within. Draw to start. Exhale gently into the mouthpiece to purge — smoke vents from beneath the tray in a cascading waterfall. Care & Maintenance Plexiglass inner chamber: after each session, lift the top frame off, empty and rinse with warm water and a soft sponge only. Never use alcohol, abrasives or aggressive chemicals — contact will cause cracks and irreparable damage. TiN-coated gold surfaces: wipe with a soft damp cloth, then dry. Titanium-nitride is extremely durable, but avoid scouring pads, steel wool and abrasive cleaners — they're the one thing that can dull the finish over time. Gold-anodised aluminium base and matte black mandala panels: wipe with a soft damp cloth, dry, then refit. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasives — anodising is bonded into the metal, but abrasive surfaces will still dull it. Remove the diffuser to rinse the screen separately. Keep the magnetic hose port dry and wipe away any sticky residue. LED housing and remote: keep dry, wipe externally only — never submerge. Questions, Answered Is the gold finish real gold? No — it's titanium nitride (TiN) coating applied to the stainless steel functional hardware, and gold anodising on the aluminium base. TiN is a hard ceramic compound used industrially on cutting tools, surgical instruments and luxury watches because it's significantly more wear- and scratch-resistant than untreated stainless, and finishes with a warm bronze-toned gold hue. Anodising on the aluminium base bonds the gold colour into the surface of the metal rather than painting it on top — it won't chip or peel. How does the EXZO Gold differ from the standard EXZO and the other limited editions? The engineering is identical across the line — same SMART shaft, same waterfall purge, same 4-position diffuser, same LED-illuminated plexiglass chamber. The differences are in the outer skin and surface finish: standard EXZO is bare stainless with a graphic-line tray; Panelka has the cityscape skin; Tribal Black runs an anodised aluminium shell with 3D flame relief; the Gold runs titanium-nitride coating across every stainless component, with a gold-anodised aluminium base, matte black lotus mandala side panels and a gold cut-out coal mesh. The Gold is the most ornate edition in the Smart Box line. Are the lotus mandala skin panels removable? Yes. The panels are a designer skin that sits around the plexiglass chamber, with a foam-padded inner surface so they slide on and off without scratching the body. Run them on for the full lotus-mandala effect, or strip them off to run the bare TiN-coated EXZO Gold chassis with the LED-lit chamber on full display. Is the top frame removable for water filling? Yes. The lotus mandala top tray frame lifts off vertically — that's how you fill the plexiglass chamber with water. The gold cut-out coal mesh can also be lifted out separately and used as a coal rest beside the hookah while you shape or rotate charcoal during the session. Does the gold finish need special care? Titanium nitride is one of the most durable decorative coatings available — wear-, scratch- and corrosion-resistant by design. Keep cleaning the same as the rest of the unit: warm water and a soft cloth, never alcohol or abrasives on the plexiglass chamber, soft cloth on the gold surfaces. Avoid scouring pads or steel wool and the finish will hold up to years of regular sessions. How limited is this edition? Genuinely limited.
