Pure vacuum tube amplifier The DS Audio TB 100 tube phono equalizer uses specially selected, quad matched ECC82 (12AU7) tubes. With DS Audio’s proprietary measurement tools, tube variation during operation is kept within 1% (0.1 dB), ensuring optimal performance. Each channel features an inner tube for voltage amplification and an outer tube for output buffering, producing a sound that is both richly textured and exceptionally transparent. A minimalist amplification stage—two single ended amplifiers paired with a low impedance cathode follower output—delivers a pure, dynamic, and highly musical presentation. Broadband transformer input The design uses a current to voltage conversion process for the audio signal from the PD system, ensuring precise left right phase alignment. It achieves a remarkably flat frequency response of within –1 dB from 10 Hz to 70 kHz, enabling clear, high resolution sound across an exceptionally wide bandwidth. Twin mono structure A fully symmetrical twin mono architecture is employed, with completely independent grounds and power transformers for each channel. By eliminating inter channel interference, the amplifier delivers a cleaner, more spacious, and more immersive soundstage. Low noise constant voltage power supply A dedicated low noise constant voltage supply powers the LED illumination and the PD negative bias circuitry. Separate power supply circuits and transformers for the left and right PD systems further enhance voltage stability, ensuring the cartridge operates under ideal conditions at all times.
