Ironically, he’s agurably most famous for his unbelievable run during the 2003 playoffs, which earned him the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP despite losing to the Devils in the Stanley Cup Final. During those 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Giguere recorded five shutouts in 21 games, including a shutout streak of 217 minutes, 44 seconds, the fifth longest in NHL history.
