Pouilly Fume Silex

Château de Tracy has been a family business since the 14th century. The family purchased the vineyards in the year 1396. Best known for producing elegant white wines made primarily from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. The vineyard sits on limestone-rich soils that give its wines a distinctive mineral character, freshness, and crisp acidity, often associated with some of the finest expressions of Pouilly-Fumé. Owned by the Tracy family for centuries, the estate has a long tradition of careful viticulture and modern winemaking techniques that aim to preserve purity of fruit and a strong sense of terroir. Tracy & Cie is the Chateau de Tracy’s more approachable, early-drinking Pouilly-Fumé, offering a fresh and fruit-driven expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Silex is the estate’s most mineral-driven and age-worthy expression of Pouilly-Fumé, showing a highly refined aromatic profile of lime zest, grapefruit, and green apple, layered with intense boxwood, and smoky flint typical of silex soils. With time in the glass, it develops subtle complexity, revealing hints of white flowers, stone fruit, and a slight smoky reduction. On the palate it is taut, vertical, and very precise, with razor-sharp acidity supporting a compact, focused core of citrus fruit. The finish is very long, pure, and intensely mineral, leaving a distinctive smoky, flinty imprint that defines the cuvée. Add to Wishlist
