D&D Encounters: Grave Awakenings

As part of the Season of Horror, we will be running an in-store adventure to celebrate the release of Ravenloft: The Horror's Within! This is a 5.5e one-shot, set for level 3 characters. Players may pick from either 5 premade characters or can create their own (note: if you wish to create your own character, please arrive within an hour/30 minutes before the scheduled start time). Groups will be made of up to 5 other players, and the session is expected to run for 3 hours. With enough interest, the story can be further progressed into a 3-part campaign; exploring the mysteries of Sithicus. Story Summary: This adventure is set in Sithicus: a dilapidated Elven realm and domain of dread. The Dark Lord of this world, Soth, has been haunted for eons by the spirits of his past, tormenting him for his mistakes. As his rage began to rapidly consume him, it in turn angered the ancient undead; leading to a near cataclysmic breakdown of his domain. Now, Sithicus has become an even more dangerous land for the few living beings trapped here. Your characters have been pulled through the Mists from your own worlds and brought here- to a ruined city. A local witch approaches you, asking for your help in rescuing her fellow residents from the disturbed undead...
