Cameron Anne Mason came to fiber art through another passion, performance and installation art. She has since become an expert in a multitude of textile processes, from dyeing techniques to surface treatments and intricate stitching. Pieces featured in Mason's Alchemy exhibition take inspiration from her process of ice dyeing. Materials: cottons, rayon/silk velvet, mohair yarn, innerfacing, and cotton and polyester threads. Surface design techniques: gravity ice dye, printing, low-water immersion dyeing, machine-embroidery.
