Unique Purple Daylily
Unique Purple Daylily 'Unique Purple' daylily is a reverse bi-tone bloom that begs to be seen! Usually, bi-tone blooms have the darker petals on top, and the lighter sepals below. Unique Purple throws that typical pattern out the window. It has 4" blooms with the lighter, pale purple petals on top and darker purple sepals below. A prominent deep purple eyezone ties the whole thing together into one stunning package. Sits on scapes just around 18" tall. Nice rebloom, too. Plant it front and center in the garden border or in a container to really showcase these unique blooms. As an early to mid season bloomer, we begin to see the eye-catching blooms of Unique Purple around the first of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. Good rebloom means you'll see these beauties off and on throughout the season. Unique Purple is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained winter cold period like those in zones 8 and lower. Try it with creamy near white or moody dark purple to allow its bi-tone coloration to shine, or plant it with sizzling hot pink, bold gold and searing orange daylilies for a party in the garden! Unique Purple is a reblooming daylily. • See our Top 20 Reblooming Daylilies • Visit our YouTube channel to see all our videos on daylilies.
