Klipsch Rebellion
Klipsch Rebellion – Heritage horn sound, bookshelf size The Rebellion is the first bookshelf Klipsch has ever built for the Heritage series — the line that started with the Klipschorn in 1946. It brings the horn-loaded Heritage signature to compact rooms and near-field stereo, hand-built in Hope, Arkansas from the same real-wood veneer as its floorstanding siblings. A genuine Heritage speaker scaled for the shelf, at Soundium. Key Features Heritage horn-loaded sound: K-81-EP compression tweeter on a K-703 Tractrix horn for crisp highs and effortless dynamics from a small cabinet. First Heritage bookshelf: based on Paul W. Klipsch's 1958 H8 design, of which only 16 originals were ever built. Rear Tractrix flare port: Klipsch's first, tuned for deeper, more articulate bass than a standard reflex tube. Hand-built in Hope, Arkansas: real-wood veneer over a braced cabinet, from the same factory as every Heritage model. Four wood finishes: American Walnut, American Auburn, Black Ash and Red Oak, each with a magnetic black cloth grille. Customer Benefits Heritage sound has usually meant floor-dominating cabinets. The Rebellion keeps the horn-loaded character — the immediacy, the dynamics, the way a horn puts voices right in front of you — and fits it on a shelf or a pair of stands. The K-702 woofer fills a compact room without strain, and the rear Tractrix port keeps the low end tight rather than boomy. Run it as a two-channel pair in a small room, or as the front pair of a higher-end home theater. Quick Specs Configuration: Two-way passive bookshelf monitor Tweeter: K-81-EP compression driver on K-703 Tractrix horn Woofer: K-702 Port: Custom rear Tractrix flare (first Klipsch design) Cabinet: Real-wood veneer over a braced enclosure, hand-built in Hope, Arkansas Grille: Magnetic black cloth, removable Finishes: American Walnut, American Auburn, Black Ash, Red Oak; limited Tigerwood Stand compatibility: Klipsch KS-24, 24″ or 28″ (sold separately) Klipsch has not yet published frequency response, sensitivity, impedance or dimensions for the Rebellion. Ideal For Near-field two-channel stereo in a compact room Heritage collectors who want a shelf-format Klipsch The front pair of a higher-end home theater system Compatibility Designed to fit Klipsch KS-24 stands (24″ or 28″) so the horn sits at ear height, and equally at home as the front channels in a larger home theater system. Pros & Cons ✅ Genuine Heritage horn sound in a bookshelf footprint ✅ Hand-built real-wood cabinet, four finishes plus limited Tigerwood ✅ Rear Tractrix port for a tighter low end than a typical reflex design ⚠️ Passive design — needs a separate amplifier ⚠️ Rear port wants some breathing room from the wall to sound its best ⚠️ Stands sold separately to get the horn to ear height The Rebellion brings 80 years of Heritage horn engineering down to bookshelf size — a speaker you keep for a decade, not a season.
