Join us for two nights and three days walking and talking in Cymraeg. These three days will be based around local walks of 3 to 4 miles. We will be walking Thursday daytime, Friday daytime and Saturday before leaving around 3pm. The walks will be relatively flat and not too challenging. We will be speaking Welsh as we walk. If you wish to stay the price is £165 for the two nights in a Single Room. To book pay £65 deposit now to reserve your stay. Marcus will be running this course for 3 days, I have been learning Welsh for 6 years now and we will of course meet other Welsh speakers across the weekend. Breakfast and one other meal will be provided in the house each day for free but of course you may need a little bit of money for bits and pieces out and about. We usually eat one meal one out. We will be walking, talking, playing games in Welsh and meeting local Welsh speakers. Arrive on Thursday 9th July around 10/11am and leave on the Saturday at 3pm or earlier if you wish. Lampeter is one of the best towns in South Wales for the Welsh language to be heard and used everywhere. Our premises Garth Newydd brings a new level of comfort to Welsh learning. Please note we will only be speaking Welsh during the duration of your stay. I am running this break from Thursday to Saturday From Thursday Morning. This is due to me travelling down quite a long way myself. I am going to hopefully run another group overlapping so we can do a walk with a big group of us who will stay Saturday to Monday. *Our biggest financial challenge unfortuantely is handling cancellations. The deposit can only strictly be refunded if notice is given 14 days before the date of the weekend and can no longer be refunded or moved to another date. It is impossible to sell the places at short notice and the weekends fail financially. Garth Newydd is a Community Interest Company (CIC), meaning we run as a not-for-profit for the benefit of the Welsh learners and the community.
