Midori Hirose Ranunculus is a top-down and seamless circular sweater that knits up quickly with a wide range of yarns. Melissa gets asked about her Ranunculus all the time and it looks so much more complicated than it really is. If you would like to make your sweater and/or sleeves longer, you'll discuss that option in class. We'll be doing the "small neckline" option in this class Come and talk yarn with Melissa to make your best choice Time: Five 2-hour classes, 4:00 - 6:00 pm Level 3 Alpine: starting to climb, able to knit and purl, knit in the round and increase and decrease and finished a few projects Skills you need: knit and purl stitch knitting in the round, have finished a circular project have successfully used a knitting pattern Skills you’ll learn: reading a gauge swatch sizing, measuring yourself and ease in sweaters marking up your sweater pattern tubular cast on german short rows reading lace charts increases putting sleeves "on-hold" and picking the stitches up later customizing the length of your sweater and sleeves Stretchy bind-off and i-cord bind off will be demonstrated discussing different needle options for sleeves (magic loop, double point, small circular) LOTS of classes in one series! to be super excited about knitting a sweater!!!
