I'm told that David has wound his production way down, and is now only building a handful from his home-based shop. He may even be fully retired, depending on what you believe online. I've always put these on level with the mid-range boutique brands like Collings, Bourgeois, Huss & Dalton, etc. It's punchy and balanced, with a surprising amount of power from the OM body. I'm not familiar with Kam Pei wood but it seems to be a southeast Asian rosewood variant, similar to EIR or cocobolo. Beautiful grain though! The tone reminds me somewhere between cocobolo and walnut. Comes with original hardshell case. Kam Pei back/sides Bearclaw Sitka top 14-fret OM body Ebony bridge, fretboard, headplate Koa binding Mahogany neck 1 3/4" nut, 2 7/32" spacing, 25 9/16" scale Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good to excellent condition. There's a small ding on the top near the binding. Otherwise just minor signs of handling. Serial #: 4100212
