Dahlia

Our Dahlia Print is a small but special piece – an A5 archival print featuring the first dahlia to bloom in the new garden at Bank House. The flower is Café au Lait – showy, soft and elegant with all the quiet drama dahlias bring to a garden just coming into itself. Printed on beautifully weighty 600gsm Mohawk Superfine, it has the feel of a keepsake card or small artwork – something to frame, pin to a board or tuck into a gift. On the reverse is a line by Henry Lawson: “The world is full of beauty when the heart is kind.” A little offering of beauty, printed to last. ARTIST'S STATEMENT This piece was inspired by the first dahlia to bloom in the new garden at Bank House – the beautiful Café au Lait. Showy yet soft, it felt like a small marker of beginning again; a quiet celebration of beauty, growth and the garden finding its rhythm. I wanted to capture that fleeting moment and turn it into something lasting.
