This popular and fun tank top knits up quickly as the neckline and armholes need no finishing at a worsted gauge. A perfect first garment. You'll be wearing it this summer! Instructor: Hélène Driesen of Kieran Knits What will you learn: How to pick a yarn appropriate for the pattern, swatching to find your gauge, choosing the right size for you, understanding the written instructions for the tank, how to perform the M1L and M1R increases and knitting in the round on a circular needle. What to bring: Nothing. At the first session, you will choose your yarn and purchase the pattern. Level: Confident beginner. Prerequisites: Long tail cast on, knit and purl. Knowing how to M1 left and M1 right is a bonus, but Hélène will teach you how to do these increases. Dates/Times: June 20, 2026 from 10:30-11:30 AM - Choose your yarn, buy the pattern and discuss swatching (gauge). June 27, 2026 from 10:30-11:30 AM - Check your gauge and make necessary adjustments. Cast on. July 11, 2026 from 10:30-12:30 AM - Participants will have knitted to where the increases start. Discuss increases. July 25, 2026 from 10:30-12:30 - Participants will have finished all increases and be ready to join in the round to work the body of the tank. PLEASE NOTE: Yarn and needles are not included in the class price. Students can purchase any needed yarn, needles and notions at a 15% discount at the first class. This class will run with 4 to 12 students.
