Inspired by Ruth Asawa, whose works emerged through simple materials, craftsmanship, and tireless experimentation, this special edition combines organic forms with the light Wildling feeling. To help keep it that way, please take a moment to read the care instructions.The Tanuki models came to life thanks to a unique coincidence and a heartfelt collaboration. Japanese washi paper has a tradition of more than a 1000 years, with a variety of uses. But it was only after Mr. Itoi and Wildling crossed paths that this magical fabric found its way into minimal footwear. Fibers from the Abaca plant are woven together using a special technique making the Tanuki model breathable and water permeable. The weave, together with the paper-textile properties, makes it the ideal shoe for warm conditions. At only 2 to 5.3 ounces it's one of the lightest shoes in the world - giving an unprecedented feeling of freedom.
