It begins with years of noticing—the architecture I've admired, the places I've traveled, the remarkable people I've met, and the curiosity that has shaped the way I see the world. I'd love to share my perspective behind this design. __________________________________________ WHY YOU'LL REACH FOR IT When I first discovered these unusual gemstones, they reminded me of coral—the opaque surface and natural markings had that same wonderfully organic quality. I later learned they're a form of Yellow Jasper, although their color is much closer to a beautiful soft taupe. That immediately made me think of all the spice-toned gemstones I've been noticing this season. Tiger Eye, Smoky Quartz, Carnelian, even Citrine—they all feel perfectly at home beside it. I can already picture this necklace against rich leather and suede when the weather turns cool, then completely transformed against crisp white all year long. Made for layering. It's beautiful among warm-toned gemstones, but I especially love the unexpected contrast of layering it with white pearls and Black Onyx. Suddenly that soft taupe takes on a completely different personality.I I love that these stones are opaque rather than sparkly. They give the necklace such a relaxed feeling- yet I can just as easily picture it against a black velvet dress when the occasion calls for it This soft taupe seems to take on the personality of whatever surrounds it. I love it with everything from peachy pinks and creamy neutrals to deep mahogany brown—which makes this one remarkably easy to work into your wardrobe. At 16 inches, this choker nestles beautifully at the neckline. The 3-inch extender gives you plenty of room to play with the length, even letting it peek out beneath the collar of a favorite denim shirt.
