Little Brown Dog Orkney 2001

This is a vatting of two refill hogsheads, sister casks with low fill levels. Low fill levels aren’t great for yield, but they do make magnificently oxidised whisky. Faint peat comes across here as distant smoke, not dominating but seasoning the spirit, adding to the salinity and depth, but with that sweet fruitiness that only comes from age. It’s right up our street and we think cracking value. Exceptional value, well aged single malt, you know you want some.
