Wheel Spinning for Beginners - 10/13

Learn how to make your own yarn in this hands on class. We will talk about the anatomy of a spinning wheel, theory and physics behind creating yarn, and spend lots of hands on time learning to spin a single ply yarn. Registration includes access to your wheel for one week after the class, so you can stop by the studio and spin as much as you would like. Prerequisites: None When: October 13 10:00-2:00 (lunch break ~11:45) All materials provided: use of wheel in studio, 2 oz+ of fiber (instructor will be providing a variety of fiber types and preparations to sample as we practice) Please bring or wear socks or clean slippers as we will not be wearing shoes while treadling.
