MOSCHINO Couture! Rare 1990s Vintage Dove Novelty Print Jacket Size L-XL

This wonderful Moschino Couture! blazer from the 1990s is a particularly characteristic example of the label’s playful approach to fashion. It features a colourful novelty print of white doves and flowers in vivid shades against a sky-blue and white ground, contrasted with black flap pockets (still stitched closed) and a small black collar. The print combines several motifs closely associated with Moschino’s tongue-in-cheek aesthetic, balancing humour with an exuberant, highly decorative approach. At the same time, the piece is exceptionally rare. In all our years of dealing in vintage fashion, we have never seen this particular blazer on the market before, making it a particularly interesting piece for collectors. The jacket is made from lightweight 100% rayon and is covered in the striking all-over print. Beautiful details include the piped buttonholes and the elaborate laser-cut wooden buttons, lacquered in red, yellow and an aubergine-purple shade, and shaped as hearts and flowers. It has a long cut with long sleeves and is fully lined in a silky orange fabric composed of 60% acetate and 40% rayon. Made in Italy. CONDITION Excellent vintage condition, seemingly unworn. SIZE Tagged IT 48 - equivalent to a DE 42, FR 44, US 12, UK 16, XL. Could also be worn by a smaller size for a slightly oversized fit.
