S2 Glass Pen Stand

A stand designed for the glass pen. The S2 stand is designed to accompany the use of a glass pen during short breaks while drawing or writing. More slender and sculptural, it showcases the pen on the desk while retaining the anti-drying function that allows an immediate return to the gesture. ◉ Anti-drying Tip immersion ✦ Short break Occasional use Each S2 stand is entirely handmade in transparent blown glass. Its more elongated shape, angle and thickness may vary slightly, reflecting its artisanal production. Designed from real use. The S2 stand was designed from the practical use of the glass pen. When a pen loaded with ink is left exposed to air, the ink quickly dries inside the capillary grooves of the tip. The stand includes a reservoir designed to hold a shallow layer of water, approximately 5 mm. By immersing only the tip, the water slows the drying of the ink and acts as a retarder, without completely blocking the flow. Under these conditions, a pen loaded with ink will gradually release its ink into the water after 20 to 30 minutes. The stand is therefore particularly suited to short breaks, from one to a few minutes. For longer breaks, it is recommended either to clean the pen or to leave it immersed to prevent drying. The S2 stand is a comfort tool designed to preserve the continuity of the gesture while giving the pen a more visible presence when not in use.
