1970s Moonstone Ring

Striking vintage moonstone ring dating from the 1970s. The stone displays a vivid blue adularescence (the optical effect whereby it appears to shimmer and glow from within) in the clear patches between swirling clouds of white - natural inclusions that twist and brood. Large silver leaves are applied to the shoulders, well proportioned in relation to the gigantic centre stone. Likely Mexican. Era: Vintage, circa 1970 Ring size: S 1/2 or 9/25 US.
