Unlike conventional flap discs that can quickly gum up when used on aluminum, the stearate treatment liquefies slightly as heat develops during grinding. This creates a protective barrier across the abrasive flaps, helping prevent aluminum particles from sticking to the disc. The result is cleaner cutting, longer disc life, and less downtime replacing loaded abrasives. The curved flap design provides improved access to fillet welds, inside corners, contours, and other hard-to-reach areas.
