Original vintage Soviet cinema poster for the 1929 documentary masterpiece Турксиб / Turksib, directed by Victor Turin and produced by Vostokkino. The Constructivist poster designed by the legendary avant-garde artist duo the Stenberg Brothers (Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg), features an imposing, low-angle graphic depiction of a steam locomotive linking Turkestan to Siberia, seen hurtling forward billowing smoke with two Central Asian men holding their hand to their mouth juxtaposed in the lower-right corner. Printed by Sovkino. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, staining, backed on Japanese paper.
