Kuzma 4Point 11" Tonearm

The 4Point is Franc Kuzma's reference tonearm design, and the engineering rationale behind it is specific: four-point bearing suspension — two vertical and two horizontal contact points — which eliminates the bearing chatter that a conventional unipivot introduces while retaining the freedom of movement that makes a unipivot desirable in the first place. The result is a bearing that is both rigid and free, without the compromise that typically defines the choice between pivot geometries. The 11-inch version extends the effective length to reduce tracking angle error across the record — geometry that matters most on the inner grooves where distortion accumulates in shorter arms. The longer effective mass and increased moment of inertia make it particularly well-matched to low-compliance moving coil cartridges, which is where the serious analog conversation tends to happen. Kuzma builds in Slovenia to tolerances that are difficult to find outside of the top tier of German and Japanese manufacturing.
