Golden Barrel Cactus in Bergs Delphi — One-Off
Only one — the exact piece photographed is the one that arrives.A golden barrel cactus (Echinocactus grusonii) at genuine specimen size — a dense, ribbed sphere crowned with golden spines that catch the light like filament. Barrels grow achingly slowly; a ball of this size represents years of patient growth, which is why they've become the sculptor's cactus — one perfect geometric object, alive. We've planted it in a raw rosa Delphi pot by Bergs Potter — the Danish maker's softly bellied terracotta, whose blushed, powdery surface plays beautifully against the deep green and gold. Potted in a free-draining cactus mix, finished and ready to place.Best space & place. The sunniest spot you have — a south-facing windowsill, a bright shelf, a sunroom. Turn it occasionally so it grows even.Watering. Sparingly — every few weeks in summer, barely at all in winter. Carry it to the sink, water, let it drain fully, then return it to its spot — the pot is supplied without a saucer, because a barrel should never sit in water. The quickest way to lose one is kindness. One only. When it's gone, we'll plant another — but never this exact piece.
