Vintage Funeral Cards | Our Lady of La Salette

Pair of midcentury vintage mourning cards from the La Salette Pilgrim Society, enrolling the deceased in one year of prayers. In Catholic households it’s common to ask certain orders of nuns or brothers to pray for the deceased in case they got stuck in Purgatory. Our Lady of La Salette is one of my favorite depictions of Mary, who appeared to two French children weeping for the sins of mankind.
