Karolina Ring

Karolina Ring has a chain-link design and is adorned with a rectangular black stone set in a silver-colored frame. This ring is inspired by Karolina Widerström (1856–1949), Sweden’s first female doctor, who graduated in 1888. Karolina specialized in gynecology and was a pioneer in women’s health. Through her own practice, she was deeply involved in educating women about their bodies, sexuality, and sexually transmitted diseases. Despite strong opposition, she lectured, wrote articles and books, and fought to improve conditions for women, particularly single mothers and in the fight against prostitution.
