Hermitage Tasting- Rhone Masterclass w/ Michael Acheson
Rhone Masterclass: Vertical tasting of Hermitage Rouge & Blanc ~ Thursday September 10th, 6:30pm ~ Ten Wines. Five vintages. Two grapes. One producer. In accordance with our ethos here at Horseneck we're focusing on one of the smallest production wines in all of Hermitage: Louis Barruol's 'La Pierrelle' Hermitage blanc & rouge. We'll be pouring 2017-2021 of both the red and white from the same winemaker and the same tiny parcel of land. The Hermitage rouge is made from Syrah (in this case the Serine clone), while Barruol's white wine comes from Marsanne vines that are 80+ years old. Here's the full lineup: Andre Perret 'Chery' Condrieu 2020 Louis Barruol 'La Pierrelle' Hermitage Blanc 2017/2018/2019/2020/2021 Louis Barruol 'La Pierrelle' Hermitage Rouge 2017/2018/2019/2020/2021 A surprise or two... As with all of our Masterclasses seating is limited, and they *always* sell out, so grab your tickets now before it's too late. This will be a special evening for sure, it's a truly unique opportunity to taste wines of this class and quality level organized into neat and consistent verticals like this.
