Vintage West German Fat Lava Jug — Ü-Keramik (Übelacker), Orange & Brown, Form 1815-25

A large vintage jug by Ü-Keramik (Übelacker), West Germany, in the bold “fat lava” style that defined 1960s–70s German studio pottery. Rich glossy orange glaze at the rim, shoulder, and base contrasts with a textured brown and sand drip glaze through the body, with a relief-moulded scalloped band at the widest point. Chunky loop handle and shaped pouring lip in matching orange glaze. Marked to the base with the form number 1815-25, consistent with Übelacker’s standard numbering of form and height. A striking, well-proportioned piece of West German Pottery (WGP), equally suited as a decorative jug or a floor/table vase. Genuine vintage condition with wear consistent with age. £48
