Rectangular Electric Heater with Control The EKS rectangular electric duct heater is designed to heat clean supply air in ventilation systems where stable temperature control matters. It is commonly specified as a supply air heater plus a preheater, helping you maintain target air temperatures across commercial and industrial ductwork. This lets you match the heater to simple on site control, remote setpoint control or external signal control. EKS: without temperature control, heater power is not regulated NV: integrated control with setpoint set by potentiometer on the heater lid NI: integrated control with setpoint set by external potentiometer NIS: integrated control with heater power controlled by external 0 to 10 VDC signal ESKM: integrated control with heater switched by external PWM signal (ON 6 to 24 VDC, OFF) Overheating protection To support safe operation in ducted systems, the heater includes overheating protection thermostats. One thermostat resets automatically, plus a second thermostat uses manual reset for added protection if abnormal conditions occur. Installation notes that matter on site Orientation: install in any position except with the electrical connection box facing downward Electrical: connection must be completed by a competent electrician and the heater must be earthed Protection grille: where accidental contact with heating elements is possible, a protective grille must be installed Temperature sensor positioning: to support accurate control, the minimum distance between heater and temperature sensor should be at least the same as the diagonal length of the heater How to specify the correct model Selection is normally made by confirming duct size first, then choosing power rating, supply option and control type.
