Glen Spey 1989 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl, 50.4% ABV
Released in 2010 as part of Diageo’s Special Releases collection, the Glen Spey 1989 21 Year Old (70cl, 50.4% ABV) is a rare cask-strength single malt from a Speyside distillery primarily known for providing the backbone to famous blends. This expression was matured in re-charred American oak casks previously used for sherry, infusing its naturally light, delicate character with unexpected richness and warmth. The nose reveals bright orchard fruits, orange marmalade, honeyed vanilla, and toasted oak. On the palate, a creamy, rounded texture yields flavors of sweet citrus, red apple, and marzipan, before settling into a long, dry finish with lingering notes of dark cocoa, soft pepper, and spicy oak. Distilled 1989, bottled 2010. One of 5,844 bottles.
