[SOLD OUT] SHOULD I FALL OR SHOULD I FLY?

I spent much of my childhood looking up because looking ahead felt too heavy. I remember the sticky afternoons, the hum of the house, and the rhythmic turning of a ceiling fan. It was the one thing that never seemed to change in a world shaped by expectations, responsibilities, and quiet sacrifices. For years, that ceiling became my sky. In this work, I have replaced the sky with a Persian carpet. Growing up, it was one of the first forms of art I encountered. Beautiful, intricate, and impossible to ignore. Looking back, I realise it represented more than decoration. It carried history, tradition, and the invisible weight of inheritance. The tiger suspended at the centre is a self portrait of sorts. Restless, determined, and unwilling to remain where it is expected to be. The diver represents the leap into the unknown, the choice to pursue a future that may not make sense to anyone else. We often inherit a map before we discover our own direction. Some see comfort in the pattern. Others see confinement. Bring Home a Story Fall or Fly is about that moment of choosing. The moment when fear and freedom become indistinguishable, and the only way forward is to jump.
